: a European ibex (Capra pyrenaica) of rocky, often mountainous terrain of Spain and formerly southwestern France, Andorra, and Portugal that includes two extant subspecies (C. p. victoriae and C. p. hispanica) and two extinct subspecies (C. p. lusitanica and C. p. pyrenaica)
